How Vault X Established Product Compliance Across 5 Markets
From complexity to clarity. Vault X's journey to global product compliance confidence with EdgeComply.
Peter Morris, Chief Executive Officer, Vault X
The Challenge
Scaling Compliance Needs for a Growing Global Portfolio
Vault X hadn’t reviewed their compliance setup in years. As their portfolio and market reach grew, so did the complexity—beyond what their product team felt comfortable handling. It was time to bring in the experts.
One persistent issue was Amazon occasionally misclassifying their products as kids' toys, even though they weren’t intended for children. This underscored the importance of tightening compliance to avoid market entry rejections, handle investigations from authorities or customs, and prevent sudden Amazon bans—a situation many sellers know all too well.
On top of this, the new EU General Product Safety Regulation (GPSR), effective December 2024, presented another hurdle. As a non-EU seller, Vault X needed an Authorized Representative to handle compliance inquiries in one of their key markets.
The Solution
End-To-End Compliance Management Across Multiple Markets
EdgeComply stepped in to take the reins of Vault X’s product compliance from start to finish. A compliance specialist with deep regulatory knowledge and a project manager ensured everything ran smoothly, from communication to deadlines.
Vault X’s organized storage system in Notion and Google Drive made collaboration easy. These tools housed product details, supplier contacts, and existing compliance documents. Using this as a foundation, EdgeComply conducted a thorough review and contacted suppliers to confirm materials and substances used in Vault X’s products.
Within just one week, Vault X had a clear, comprehensive overview of their compliance obligations across all markets. EdgeComply provided specific guidance, such as how to correctly apply the Triman logo for recycling in France, while ensuring adherence to critical regulations like European REACH, POPs (Persistent Organic Pollutants), California Prop 65, and Canadian SOR/2016-193.
During the review, EdgeComply identified outdated or invalid documents, like expired test reports, and updated them accordingly. They proposed an efficient testing plan that avoided redundant tests. For instance, rather than testing each material in every color, they recommended compound testing, which saved time and resources for Vault X’s diverse product range.
Once Vault X approved the plan, EdgeComply coordinated lab testing. This involved organizing sample shipments from suppliers to accredited labs and managing the testing process over eight weeks. The result was a complete and verified set of compliance documents.
EdgeComply then compiled everything into clean, audit-ready documentation—easy to share with market authorities or platforms like Amazon. They also helped Vault X meet the GPSR’s requirements by serving as their Authorized Representative in the EU. This includes proactive alerts on regulatory updates, compliance monitoring, and securely storing their documentation for the mandated 10 years.
The Result
Comprehensive, Audit-Ready Compliance and Proactive Regulatory Assurance
Rock-Solid Compliance: Vault X achieved full compliance across major markets, including the UK, EU, US, Canada, and Australia.

Product compliance wasn’t a constant worry or a roadblock anymore, and their team could finally shift focus back to what they do best: growing and innovating. Thanks to their collaboration with EdgeComply compliance has been turned from a daunting obligation into a strategic edge.
